Considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Europe, Bigar Cascade in Romania has a unique shape.

Unfortunately, one of the rocks collapsing in 2021 affected the shape of the waterfall. Nevertheless, Bigar Cascade is still a magnificent sight. The water tumbles around moss-covered shocks, giving it a unique bell shape. Though it’s not particularly large, it’s still an amazing view to behold.

Just be aware that it's not near any cities or public transport, so you will need to drive to Bigar Cascade. But it’s definitely worth the trip! Though the waterfall is best in the Spring after rainfall, it transforms into a winter wonderland during the colder months.

Walking around will only take a couple of hours. However, there are plenty of other attractions in the area to make the most of your day.

Spring is the perfect time to visit because of the strength of the waterfall and the weather in Greece. You can even visit the cave systems underneath for a small fee.
